5. 6. "Kafus" Through cargo to Manila.

I have the honour to inform you that the manifest of

6.S. "Kafus" has been examined in this department and it has been found that a considerable sæount of the through oarge

for Manila is being forwarded directly and indirectly to Enemy Firms, I regret therefore that I must request you te discharge into the Kowloon Godowns all cargo the destiretion

of which is not satisfactory.

2. I forward berewith a schedule in duplicate which has been made out with a view to enable you to deal with the cargo

as expeditiously as possible:-

Column 1 shows the cargo which may go forward.

Column 2 shows the cargo which appears to be consigned

to enemy fires and which must be discharged.

Column 8 shows the oargo about which sufficient

information is not yet avåglable, and which cannot

be allowed forward unless satisfactory evidence can

be produced as to the destination.

5. Receipts will be given you for all such oargo

discharged when discharge has been satisfactorily offsoted.

4. You will note that the schedule now forwarded has been

altered as compared with the schedule formerly handed to your Mr. Gordon swing to information which you have been able to

supply .
